Jean-Jacques Hublin is professor at the Lepzig (Germany ) « Institut Max Planck d’Anthropologie Evolutionnaire » where he is director of the Departement of Human Evolution. He is also honorary professor at the University of Leipzig and teaches at the University of Leiden (Netherland), as well as guest professor at the « College de France ». He was a researcher at the National Centre for Scientific Research ((1981-2000) and professor at Bordeaux University1 (1999-2004). He taught at the Univesrity of California at Berkeley (1992), at Harvard (1997) and at Stanford University (1999 & 2011). He was deputy scientific director of CNRS (2000-2003).
Le professeur Hublin a participé à un large éventail de projets scientifiques pluridisciplinaires, abordant l’évolution humaine. Il a écrit ou coécrit plus de 270 articles scientifiques et a publié une quinzaine d’ouvrages. Depuis 2011, le Professeur Hublin préside la Société Européenne pour l’Étude de l’Evolution Humaine (ESHE). En 2014, Thomson Reuters l’a classé parmi les premiers 1% de chercheurs les plus cités dans sa discipline. Il a reçu le prix Thomson Reuters et le prix Rudolf-Virchow de la fondation Prinz Maximilian zu Wied (2013) et a été décoré par Sa Majesté Mohamed VI du Wissam royal al-Kafaa al-Fikria (2017).
Professor Hublin has participâted in a wide array of multidisciplinary scientific projects about human evolution. He has published and co-published over 270 scientific articles and some fifteen books. Professor Hublin has been chairman of the «Société Européenne pour l’Étude de l’Evolution Humaine » (ESHE) since 2011. In 2014, Thomson Reuters classified him among the first 1% of the most cited researchers in his discipline. He received the Thomson Reuters Award and the Rudolf-Virchow Prinz Maximilian zu Wied Foundation Award (2013). He was awarded the Royal Wissam al-Kafaa al-Fikria (2017).by His Majesty Mohamed VI.
